Today you lost your third tooth, your right top front tooth. You were eatÂing breakÂfast, and asked me to help you pull it out. You were nerÂvous, but brave, and very proud. Then we retreatÂed to your bed to read two chapÂters of BetÂsy and Tacy Go Over the Big Hill (we finÂished the whole book latÂer today). Then you woke up your dadÂdy to show him your new smile. đ
We had a fun day with you. We took our famÂiÂly phoÂtos with Chesea DuerÂden, folÂlowed by a fun mornÂing at the AcadÂeÂmy of SciÂences. We love that place. Poor Claude had a bloody tail, and we didÂnât find out what had hapÂpened ⌠we assumed the snapÂping turÂtle got to it. SeeÂing the scuÂba divers is always a favorite, and then we saw your favorite planÂeÂtarÂiÂum show (HabiÂtat Earth); by my calÂcuÂlaÂtion, thatâs the fourth time youâve seen it. Today, I took a nap durÂing it. đ DadÂdy may or may not have stayed awake ⌠I wasÂnât awake to notice.
Then, of course, we walked over and had a yumÂmy NY style hot dog, folÂlowed by the amazÂing ice cream at Twirl and Dip (how have we not made this a greater part of our rouÂtine)! After doing our âweâre getÂting ice creamâ dance along the sideÂwalk, we retreatÂed to our bikes to ride home. After a nice âquiÂet readÂing timeâ (durÂing which DadÂdy fell asleep readÂing you âFanÂcy NanÂcy,â and you colÂored) you got to take the empÂty plasÂtic botÂtles to the gas staÂtion and trade it in for your $2.00.
Your sevÂenth birthÂday is in six days. Wow. Itâs a realÂly big numÂber to me. Iâm so grateÂful that both DadÂdy and I have made so many sacÂriÂfices so that Iâve been able to be with you and teach you so much. We are so grateÂful for your eduÂcaÂtion and your lovÂing teachÂers. Iâm so grateÂful you made me a mama â thank you.
Love,
mama
