Mabel Molanphy

It is official…Mabel has found her voice and isn’t afraid to use it! She woke up at 5:58 am this morn­ing and laid in her crib for 15 min­utes talk­ing to her­self. I was per­fect­ly hap­py to ignore her and con­tin­ue sleep­ing, but Grand­ma could­n’t wait to get in there and play with her. So, now Grand­ma is read­ing her books and singing to her. I tried to say hi to Mabel and I got ignored. Now I know how Dad­dy feels. 😉

Dad­dy took off for San Fran­cis­co today for a job inter­view, leav­ing Mama and Mabel to hang out. But, Mama turned around and invit­ed Grand­ma to come keep her com­pa­ny in Dad­dy’s absence, so Mama would­n’t be too lone­ly. Grand­ma came and just adores lit­tle Mabeli­ta. It’s been fun for me [Mama] to see them inter­act, as it shows me how it must have been when I was a baby, and Grand­ma was “the mama.” Here are a few pho­tos and videos to show how much fun we are hav­ing. Of course, we miss Dad­dy terribly!

Oh, how Mabel loves being with her dad­dy!! Only her dad­dy can make her laugh quite like this. It is very spe­cial to watch. Dad­dy enjoys mak­ing up songs and tick­ling her. Mabel just ADORES her daddy.

If Mabel can get it near her mouth…it’s fair game for drool and slob­ber! Includ­ing our hands.

While mak­ing the bed, Mabel was keep­ing me com­pa­ny. She has learned to grab things and likes to cov­er her face. She kept play­ing hide-and-go-seek by her­self. Heh.
