Okay, technically it was the dress rehearsal, but the actual performance is on our Sabbath Day, so we made this the “official” celebration. Uncle Greg and Aunt Melinda were kind enough to come and watch with their kids, as well. Despite the sound system failures, Mabel loved it and has been wearing her leotard ever since!

Mabel’s been asking for many months (11!!!) to ride the trolley. Since Mr. Shultz gave Mabel the sweet book, “Maybelle the Cable Car,” it’s been her most important desire! Finally we made the ride, and her level of intrigue was intense.
Taking it all in.

I knew this day would come. The writing was on the walls and all the signs told us the day was soon approaching when full-blown “princess” mode would kick in. The day is today.

Mama found a little dance studio so Mabel is learning how to tap dance and how to twirl like a ballerina. She loooooves it. Not only that, but she packs a different “outfit” for tap dance and one for ballet. I say “outfit” because it’s usually a headband or a bracelet that she changes when she changes from her tap shoes to her ballet shoes and vice versa. She truly has the grace of a Molanphy!
