1st Haircut

We took Mabel to get her very first haircut today. Her hair was beginning to resemble a mop, so mama wanted to get it shaped a little. So off we went to mama’s hairdresser Jim who fearlessly dove right in and started snippin’ away. I think she looks very cute — but I’m a little biased.

Mabel is 15 months!

She is now 20 lb on the nose. Hooray! Tenth percentile, baby girl! She is 29″, as well. Again, tenth percentile. 🙂

Mabel *loves* climbing the stairs. Again. And again. And…again.

Today, Mama put a chair in front of the stairs (sideways)–as she always does–to prevent Mabel from going up/down the stairs without me noticing. However, today she realized she is quite capable of moving the chair herself, the continuing to climb. Yikes!

Then, she kept trying to climb into her toy box (and falling and banging her head). Mama thought, “hey! I’ll just pull out her favorite toys and close the lid!” Ummm, fail.

Mabel sleeps so soundly

Sometimes it’s fun to sneak in and take a photo of Mabel. She is so peaceful.

Mabel and friends

Mabel’s got a few little buddies that she plays with weekly. Elizabeth is 6 months younger (Cheryl’s daughter) and Lexie is 8 1/2 months older (Mandy’s daughter). Both are precious and Mabel loves playing with other kids.

Mabel is playing on the learning tower (at Lexie’s house). Mama is dying for Mabel to get a learning tower. I’ve been to multiple garage sales and stalked craig’s list. It’s the next thing on our priority list. Mabel likes mama to hold her while baking or cooking, so she can watch. The learning tower will make life easier!

Mabel is becoming too smart

Mabel likes to use her wagon to walk around the room. Sometimes Daddy puts things in the wagon, for a little scenery change. Mabel took a cue and decided to put herself in the wagon…all to put herself taller, so she could pull everything off of Mama’s desk!
