Learning to Swim

Mabel is “learning to swim” at a local swim school, but more importantly, she has learned to give a high-five when prompted. She will soon find out that is a critical social skill and will thank her parents profusely by becoming a Nobel prize-winning neuro-surgeon who will buy her parents a mansion in their old age. That’s how it works right?

Almost Walking

Mama bought Mabel this little cart a while back, but when it first got here, Mabel looked at it for a second and decided the shiny object off the corner of her eye was far more interesting. Lately, though, she has shown quite a bit more interest in the cart.

Mabel loves necklaces

Mabel finds anything that will go around her neck…computer cables, telephone cords, etc. Yah, we know. Not child-safe. However, she LOVES to wear necklaces. Funny, because Mama has only worn them a handful of times. Obviously, this desire came “built-in”. She found my necklaces around, and put them over her head. Cracks us up! Mabel says “daddeeee”

Seriously so sweet. Saying “Mama” isn’t even on the horizon. *sigh*

Mabel Playing

Mama was so excited to find this toy at the used toy store; Daddy has always talked of this being his very favorite toy when he was a toddler. We even have a picture of him playing with it at the beach. It’s fun to see Mabel love it, too. And, we love the stage of Mabel “sharing” (okay, not really, but playing back-forth). 🙂
