Grandma & Spice and everything nice

How luck is Mabel?? Grandma came to visit us, again. And had *so* much fun!! Mabel has learned how to get into mama’s spice cabinet…and peel off all the labels. It makes lots of fun when mama is sniffing each spice trying to figure out what they are!

Uh-Oh!

Quick! Hide the phones!

And so it begins. Apparently someone has been watching mama very closely during the days. This smells like trouble to me.

Where’s Mabel?

Mabel loves to play the “where’s Mabel” game. Mama and Daddy have used this to their advantage when they’re feeling lazy. If Mabel ever crawls out of sight, all we have to do is ask “where’s Mabel” and viola! She appears from around a corner, behind a door, or a sofa. I wonder how long we can ride this wave?

I should note, in this video, Mama was fortunate enough to have the camera next to her to capture this completely spontaneous game of “where’s Mabel.”

Bye-bye, “Baby Mabel”

It has happened. She became a toddler. And, quite literally, overnight! Exactly three weeks after her one-year birthday, she just looked different–bigger, less baby-ish. Then, this past Sunday, it began…the fussing, getting into everything she could find, etc. To make a more memorable post, I took lots of pictures. 😀 [click on each photo to see a close-up]
