A new found love…a carrot

The newest toy…an exersaucer
Mama managed to score an exersaucer on Craig’s List for $30…then proceed to douse it in vinegar and chlorine to be sure it was completely disinfected. Mabel decided to make it hers by puking on it in the first five seconds of being in it. Heh. Anyway, she loves it and has figured out how to turn in circles. She talks to herself constantly while there…perhaps she’s talking to the characters. Only she knows.

Mabel discovered food!
After Mabel has been wanting to nurse nearly every two hours, Mama decided she needed to move onto some solid foods. In honor of her parents, her first bites were an organic banana.
Since then, she’s come to love sweet potatoes, apple sauce, plain yogurt, peas & carrots, bananas. On the upcoming menus are rice cereal, avocados and beets.
The best part? She LOVES to eat. She “requests” more bites if we take too long in-between. We do her dinner right before bedtime, so it’s an immediate bath, then off to night routine (bath, dress, nurse, scriptures, prayers, lights out).

Mabel finds her toes
Somewhere around Mabel’s six month mark, she finally discovered her toes. Since then, they’ve become the big interest during diaper changing time. She’s quite enthralled.
